Over the years I've bought several re-releases of the comics that inspired this movie, which I've yet to watch. If I am brutally honest I have to admit the story is mostly a "meh" for me -- but Darwyn Cooke's comics artistry is off-the-charts, both in what he brings aesthetically as well as his mastery of sequential paneling. Animation is its own field of artistry, and I could muster the interest to see what's really going on with this movie. The younger is entering year 2 of a college animation program -- if she's game for it, we might watch it together.

Let me know what you think of it when you do watch it. Or better yet, review it on your blog?

Will do -- I've pulled the trigger at Amazon (please don't hold that agin me).

What a hypocrite I would be if I ever held it against someone that they ordered from Amazon.
Looking forward to the review.
