[Notes: This is a standard Board Race using gap-fill sentences. It recycles sentences that I have previously used in a Kahoot game (links here and here for that Kahoot game.). I tried to design the Kahoot game so that there was only one correct answer from among the available options. But because this is a board race, there are not options to choose from, and students have to supply their own word. Consequently, for many of these sentences, there are multiple correct answers in addition to the suggested answer, and teachers should be flexible on awarding points that don't match the suggested answer.]

I pass this along, however, with a small warning. I don't think all of the answers here are right.
This is a common issue with Kahoot games. There's a lot of stuff out there, but there's no quality control, so before you use something in class, you really have to check it carefully.
In this case, I checked the questions briefly before my class, and thought they looked alright, but once we got into the classroom and started playing the game, I came across a number of answers I disagreed with.
If I ever reuse this, I'm going to make a copy of it and do some editing. But for now, I'm just posting it here so I don't lose track of it.

Sorting Activity for Reporting Verbs
(TESOL Worksheets--Reporting Verbs)
[This is a sorting activity I used for Unit 6, Listening Skill: Understand Reporting Verbs p.98 from Reflect Listening & Speaking 5. The choice of reporting verbs reflects the textbook, as does the categorization. In the textbook this information is given to the students in a grammar box, but the teachers book suggested that this information could be make more engaging for students by having them categorize the verbs on their own first, and then check their answers with the grammar box. And I agreed. So I developed this little worksheet.
The word cards are cut up and shuffled before class. In pairs, students place the word cards in the correct box.
I think this activity could also stand on its own as an independent resource, so I'm posting it here as well.]
