Another great graded reader for young children in a TESOL class.
The stories are very short, and the language is easy for beginning students to understand.
The book is divided into 4 short stories that I spread out over 4 lessons in my class:
Jed's First Day
Hide-and-Seek
Sports Day
and Mikey is Busy
Recommend for any beginner TESOL class with young children.
Available on Amazon.com here.
Addendum:
Here are some supplementary teaching materials I made when teaching this book in my classes. These materials don't really work too well independently of the actual book, so you'll need to get a copy of the book to use these.
When I taught this book, I divided it into four parts and spread it across four lessons.
PowerPoints: Part 1 (drive, slides, pub; no animation: slides, pub), Part 2 (drive, slides, pub; no animation: slides, pub), Part 3 (drive, slides, pub; no animation: slides, pub), Part 4 (drive, slides, pub; no animation: slides, pub)
Worksheets: Part 1 (drive, docs, pub), Part 2 (drive, docs, pub), Part 3 (drive, docs, pub), Part 4 (drive, docs, pub)
