Irregular Forms: The rhythm of this poem is created by the regular repetition of the /zəz/ sound at the end of words. “Moses”, “supposes” and “roses” all end with the /zəz/ sound. In order to keep this rhythm, “knows” and “toes” are given a /zəz/ ending sound, even though this is not normally the way they are pronounced.
