Listening 1
1. In both of the reports in listening 1, people have come up with a new use for something that has been around for a long time. Can you think of any other inventions or therapies that are examples of the same principles?
2. Would you go to see a doctor whose office was in a shipping container? Would you trust a bee to cure your pain? Why or why not?
3. In each of the two reports, do you feel that the narrator is taking a neutral position, or is he or she trying to to persuade the listeners to accept or reject the idea? Explain your reasons?

4. What are some advantages and disadvantages of offering children incentives to improve their health? What are some other ways to achieve the same goal?
5. Do you think it is possible to implement a bike-to-school program in every type of community? In what types of community would it be easier? More difficult?
