[This is based off of the IELTS speaking cards I posted last December (which were themselves stolen from various textbooks.) Since IELTS speaking part 2 frequently requires the use of the past tense, I decided to re-appropriate these cards for a general English class I was doing on the past tense. From the original set of cards I posted last December, I deleted any cards that didn't require the past tense. And I enlarged the font. For my general English class, I posted these cards around the room. The students were then told to walk around the room with a partner, and discuss the various topics on the cards using the past simple.]
