Restaurants are very popular nowadays.  People like to go out to eat to enjoy some delicious food and relax.  But when it comes to restaurants, everyone has their own personal favorite, and I certainly have my own favorite. My favorite restaurant is Ben’s Diner on Fourth Street because it’s perfect for a casual, delicious meal. Ben’s Diner is a family business that has been serving the local community for over sixty years. Ben’s Diner is an excellent restaurant because of its great atmosphere and its delicious menu.

The atmosphere at Ben’s Diner is great.  (1)__________________________. The restaurant is brightly lit and spotlessly clean, with gleaming tables and sparkling floors.  (2)__________________________.   When you walk in, you will get a warm welcome from one of the staff, who will immediately ask about your day and tell you how glad he is to see you. (3)____________________ __________________________.  I like the soft red leather seats in the booths, or sometimes I sit at the smooth marble counter. (4)______________________ __________________________.   When you come to Ben’s Diner, the pleasant noise of conversation and the soothing clatter of dishes will surround you. (5)__________________________. Even if you are not already hungry, the rich smell of homemade chicken soup or freshly baked bread coming from the kitchen will get you ready to eat. For all of these reasons, the atmosphere of Ben’s Diner simply cannot be beat.

The other really great thing about Ben’s Diner is their menu.  (6)___________ __________________________.  For example, their perfectly grilled burger is made of 100% prime beef. (7)__________________________.  I personally really like their Greek salad, which is famous for its fresh ingredients: bright green lettuce leaves, deep red tomatoes, and tangy purple olives. (8)________ __________________________.  They have delicious chocolate cake, apple pie, and ice cream.  As we can see, because of the delicious meat, healthy vegetables, and wonderful desserts, Ben’s Diner is an excellent place to eat.

As we have seen, Ben’s Diner has an atmosphere that is really wonderful, and food that is quite tasty.  These are the things that make it, in my opinion, a restaurant that is really wonderful.  If you have not gotten a chance to visit Ben’s Diner, I really recommend you do so in the future.  Personally, I am planning on going there again this week.

Worksheet: docs, pub  [Note: I adapted this essay from the essay in the online workbook that accompanies this textbook.  I'm also hoping that this worksheet can stand independent of the textbook as a general introduction to a Three Paragraph Analysis Essay.  I use lesson this after teaching my lesson on paragraph structure. ]

A role model is someone who shows people how to live life with passion, honesty, and integrity. However, this does not necessarily mean that all the people who have these qualities are actively seeking to be role models.  Many people who are role models do not try to be. They may have strong values, but they do not always teach these values directly. Instead, they show them by example. This is true for my role model, my father. I admire my father because of his strong beliefs and values, and I have learned what it means to be a role model through his actions.

My father has several admirable qualities that make him my true role model. First, he is dedicated to his family. For example, my father works very hard because he has always wanted to give the best life to his wife and children. In addition, my father has committed his life to helping others. One instance of this is that when he sees someone who needs assistance, he never hesitates to lend a hand. Finally, my father is willing to learn from his mistakes. To illustrate this, when he does something wrong, he is honest with himself, and he tries to find a solution.  For all these reasons, my father is an excellent role model.

My father is someone who is there for his family, who is compassionate towards others in need, and who confronts his weaknesses with resolve and a positive attitude. For these reasons, he is my role model. I aspire to be just like my father when I have children. He is an inspirational person who shows that actions can speak louder than words, and I am fortunate to have someone like my father touch my life in such a powerful way.

Introduction

A role model is someone who shows people how to live life with passion, honesty, and integrity.

However, this does not necessarily mean that all the people who have these qualities are actively seeking to be role models.  Many people who are role models do not try to be. They may have strong values, but they do not always teach these values directly. Instead, they show them by example.

This is true for my role model, my father.

I admire my father because of his strong beliefs and values, and I have learned what it means to be a role model through his actions.

Conclusion

My father is someone who is there for his family, who is compassionate towards others in need, and who confronts his weaknesses with resolve and a positive attitude.

For these reasons, he is my role model.

I aspire to be just like my father when I have children. He is an inspirational person who shows that actions can speak louder than words, and I am fortunate to have someone like my father touch my life in such a powerful way.
