Marquez's 100 years solitude is great judging by a portion of the book I read.
Having finished Part I of Anna Karenina (haven't got pass the point I read last time yet) it's just weird I don't even remember how hilarious Tolstoy could be. Maybe I didn't appreciate his sense of humor then and it's not so strong in War and Peace compared to in this book. My 2nd reading (this one attempt to finish the whole book, and hopefully I will, is the 3rd reading) of Anna gave me a worse impression of Tolstoy as a caustic conservative old man.
Thanks for letting me know. One of these days, I'll try to check out 100 years solitude
