The game makes use of images that are linked to from around the web, so hopefully the links will stay up, so the game will keep working. (Maybe test this game out before you use it in the classroom, especially if you're finding this a few years from the date of posting.)
When students turn over a card, the teacher asks "What is it?" Students have to be able to say the color and animal in order to get a chance to find the matching card.
All but one of the pictures is to an animal. (There's one picture of a cactus, everything else is an animal.) So this activity could also be used to practice animal vocabulary.
