From Reuters: Panic buying in Vietnam's largest city before tighter COVID-19 lockdown
We've been caught up in this ourselves. Probably unnecessarily. The latest announcements make it sound like it's perhaps unnecessary to stock up on extra food and water, but there's still a bit of uncertainty in how the next couple weeks are going to play out that is making everyone want to err on the side of caution. So the wife and I have made numerous small trips to the supermarket the past couple days to stock up on food and bottled water. Fortunately, we live in a part of the city where the supermarkets are plentiful relative to the population density, and no dangerous over-crowding in our neighborhoods.
