I've traveled 'round this country

the things I _______ and ______

I saw the weary farmer
plowing sod and loam
l heard the auction hammer
just a-knocking down his home

But the banks _____________ of marble
with a guard at every door
and the vaults ____________ with silver
that the farmer sweated for

I saw the seaman standing
Idly by the shore.
And I heard their bosses _____________,
Got no work for you no more.

But the banks __________ of marble,
With a guard at every door,
And the vaults __________ with silver,
That the seaman sweated for.

I've seen the weary miner
scrubbing coal dust from his back
and I've heard his children crying
got no coal to _______ the shack.

But the banks __________ of marble
with a guard at every door
and the vaults ________ with silver
that the miner sweated for

I've seen my brothers ________
throughout this mighty land
l prayed we'd get together
and together ______ a stand

Then we might _____ those banks of marble
with a guard at every door
and we would ______those vaults of silver
that we have sweated for.
