Forming Negative Verbs

[A standard focus on form sheet.  Perhaps a little bit pedantic, but the assumption is that if I was going to do a boring  focus on form lesson, than the least I could do was make it more interactive instead of just giving the students the structure.]


Forming Negative Verbs

Directions: Put the words below into the appropriate box.  Some words you will use more than once.

am, are, auxiliary verb, base form of the verb (V1), be verb (past tense), be verb (present tense), did, do, does, have, has is, not, main verb, past participle (V3), verb-ing, was, were

In English, affirmative sentence statements are formed in the following way:
