New episode of Revolutions Podcast is once again out: 10.99- The Testament: It's a faaaaaaaaaaake.
Once again, I found it really interesting.
The personality squabbles among the Bolshevik leadership is the most fascinating part of this whole period, so I'm glad to finally be getting into it. (And it sounds like the next several episodes are going to get even more into this.)
I never knew about Lenin's final letters being (possibly) fakes. That was really interesting to learn about.
Other notes:
* Is it just me, or were there a few mistakes with the names in this episode? (e.g. Mike would say "Lenin" when he clearly meant "Stalin", etc.) That doesn't often happen. Maybe it was a busier than usual week for Mike.
* Mike mentioned that Lenin's brain was being destroyed by a disease, but didn't say which disease. Either that's another slip, or it's an intentional omission that will be more fully explored in the next episode. I'm leaning towards the latter.
I looked it up on Wikipedia, and according to Wikipedia:
others believed that he had syphilis,[385] an idea endorsed in a 2004 report by a team of neuroscientists, who suggested that this was later deliberately concealed by the government.[386]
