(I actually like the story. Constructive = a bit long-winded.)
IIRC Steve Jobs actually complained right to the face of some woman who made food at some hotel or restaurant - and that was even his typical personality, being that guy who doesn't pull punches. So that's one counter example - although that's not about books.
A more relevant counter example would be me who tried to return the Analects to the bookstore, all because its Chinese texts are Simplified and I was adamant for classic texts they were supposed to be Traditional. I told this story already - although not really library and what I did next was even worse.
>complained right to the face of some woman who made food at some hotel or restaurant
Criticized her food saying it sucked - meant to say that.
>a bit long-winded
May not necessarily be that, but I find it quite disconnected (hard to keep track, connect the tangential things you tell to the main story).
Then again feel free to ignore this - could be me watching this when tired, or reliance on transcriptions already hard to focus
>Exposure to sex and violence harmless
tempting to make some joke about how this is hard to say if it is about japanese media. or how amusingly agreeable and disagreeable this is. if anybody gets what i mean
I know, many of my stories are long and rambling. (I guess consider yourself forewarned for next time.)
I didn't know about the Steve Jobs counter example. Thanks for letting me know.
