In a slightly different form, a lot of these criticisms could equally be applied to bloggers. And I've been guilty of a lot these faults (see my previous mea culpa here).
On the other hand, some of these are unique to facebook. The Cryptic Status update, for instance, which drives me absolutely nuts whenever I get onto facebook.
It's one of the reasons I never really got into facebook. I like reading about other people's lives, and I like reading other people's blogs, but the cryptic tease that's in so many facebook statuses just makes me log off facebook.
