The specific example linked to above is for the present perfect, but the general activity can be used for any grammar point.
Students are given a list of sentences that contain mistakes. They have to find the mistake in the sentence, and then change the sentence so that it is correct.
This can be done on a worksheet as a paper and pencil exercise. But it is also common to gamify it. This exercise can be gamified as: Grammar Auction, Board Race, Garbage Man, Grass Skirts, Hurricane, etc.
Some of these sentences are correct, and some of these sentences have mistakes in them. Find the sentences with mistakes, and change them so that they are correct.
1. I have never eaten octopus.
2. I have went to China.
3. She have seen that movie already.
4. I have read that book already.
5. She hasn’t been to Europe.
6. They have lived here for 2 years.
7. We have studying English for 2 years.
8. They have buy a lot of food.
