Directions: Students are given a card with a problem on it. They are instructed to keep this card a secret from their classmates. They write down three pieces of advice using "should". Then, in the mingle activity, they walk around the classroom and read out their pieces of advice to a classmate. The classmate attempts to guess the problem based on the advice. Then they attempt to guess their classmate's problem. Then they switch cards and find a new partner, and repeat.
Most of the problems are stolen from a previous activity I did on "should". I used this activity to lead into that previous activity.
In my own class, I used this lesson to supplement the Life Elementary Textbook lesson 11A Going on Holiday p.130-131.
