Your review makes me feel more lonesome for being the lone soul among those I have encountered to actually have watched and liked the movie XD.
ReplyDeleteI first watched it in high school, the plot was predictable (for a reason I once commented: local TV plagiarized the plot) but I liked it due to how fun it was, and the songs sounded catchy more than I expected. 👉👉
Don't worry, you are firmly in the majority opinion. This movie is very much beloved. And yes, I admit, the songs are catchy. But perhaps having lived in the US, I had heard the songs over and over and over again, so I'm at the point where they almost don't even register as something new when I hear them, and my brain just fixates on how dumb some of the lyrics are.
